Our GOAL:

To help your daughter reach her full potential and help her achieve her personal best as a gymnast while having fun and creating memories for a lifetime.

Our TEAMS:

We compete in the following USA Gymnastics levels: Level 4, Level 5, Level 7, Level 8, Level 9, Level 10 and Elite.

Our METHOD:

Aerials has a well-earned reputation for winning, but we didn’t earn it with the attitude that we will do anything to win. Our success comes from our method: develop the right athletes by mastering the fundamentals in a fun environment. Our program is one of the country’s leaders when it comes to teaching through a series of skill progression.  We never encourage our gymnasts to attempt a new skill until her coach has the utmost confidence that she has mastered all the progressive steps leading up to it. The process can sometimes be frustrating and/or time-consuming, but the end result is well worth the method, and it is the key to our enduring success.

Our COACHES:

We take great pride in our coaching staff at Aerials Gymnastics. All of our coaches are Professional Members of USA Gymnastics (meaning they have been background checked and passed the USA Safety Certification Test for gymnastics coaches), led by owner Tom Forster. Tom has over thirty years of coaching experience and, as a USA Gymnastics National Staff Member, is continually at the forefront of new training techniques and procedures. Owners Tom and Lori Forster have achieved the highest level of coaching "Master of Sport".

Elite, Level 10, Level 9:   Kathy Vigil and Jason Baits
Level 9, Level 8, Level 7, Level 5:   Zac Baits and Brittney Allen
Level 5, Level 4:  Heather Morgan and Jessie Adams

Our FACILITY:

Aerials has one of the most advanced training facilities in North America -- designed by owner Tom Forster (Tom also designed the Women's Olympic Training Center in Houston, TX). Tom combined the best ideas from training centers he visited all over the world with some of his own groundbreaking training ideas. Continually maintaining and improving our equipment allows us to provide the safest training environment possible.

Our PARENTS GROUP:

The Aerials Booster Club is a not-for-profit 5013C organization registered with the state of Colorado (C1988). Aerials' team parents are devoted to helping the program’s continued success and work fundraising events to help offset the expenses of competitive gymnastics. Aerials hosts as many as five meets a year, made successful with the support of the Aerials parents volunteering their time to operate these competitions.

Our GOAL:

To show that competition can be fun and it teaches important lessons to girls that will last their life time. We want to use gymnastics to help build the self-esteem of each girl in our program.

Our TEAMS:

We compete in the following USA Gymnastics Xcel levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.

Our METHOD:

We teach advanced gymnastic skills in the proper progressions for safety and mastery. We do not move on with a skill if a gymnast cannot safely master all the steps in the progression. If a gymnast struggles with a skill she has already learned we go back to the progressions and start over. It is time consuming, it can be frustrating, and it is more difficult but this is the core of our success and the safest way to advance.

Our COACHES:

All of our coaches are Professional Members of USA Gymnastics which means they have been back ground checked and passed the USA Safety Certification Test for gymnastics coaches. They are led by owner and USA Gymnastics National Staff Member Tom Forster. Tom has over thirty years of coaching experience and is in charge of training the coaches and keeping them informed of all the newest technqiues and procedures for coaching competitive gymnasts.

Xcel Department Leader:  Erin Pelton

Our FACILITY:

Aerials has one of the most advanced training facilities in North America. Designed by owner Tom Forster (who also designed the Women's Olympic Training Center in Houston, TX). Tom combined the best ideas from training centers he has visited all over the world and combined them with some of his own training ideas. Aerials continually invests in the improvement of their equipment each year to provide the safest training situation possible.

About Aerials

OUR PHILOSOPHY

A child that learns to channel their effort and energy toward a focused goal will have greater success in school, sport and life.

At Aerials we strive to support and foster childrens' enthusiasm for physical activity through gymnastics. We have a world class coaching staff of professionals devoted to teaching children. For the children that decide to compete in gymnastics, Aerials has a program that can handle every level of gymnast from novice to Olympic hopeful.

HUMBLE Beginnings

Aerials Gymnastics began in 1983 from the inspiration of Tom and Lori Forster in a small warehouse with 30 students. Over 30 years later they have developed one of the most respected gymnastics programs in America and have built one of the most advanced gymnastics training facilities in the world.

EXPERIENCE COUNTS

Tom and Lori have achieved the level of "Master of Sport" presented by USA Gymnastics to coaches that have demonstrated their ability to train and produce an athlete that has represented the United States of America in the highest level of competition in a Pan American, World Championship, and/or Olympic Games. Their experience has been the foundation for all of the training their instructors receive to work with children. From a forward roll to the most difficult skills our instructors have two primary goals: teach it correctly and make it fun!

Olympic Dreams

Tom and Lori qualified their first gymnast on to the Women's USA National Team in 1990. They went on to put seven girls on the national team and compete for the United States in 11 international competitions including three World Championships ('95, '96, '01) and two Pan American Games ('95, '01). In 1996 they had two gymnasts compete in the Olympic Trials, Theresa Kulikowski and Kristy Powell. Theresa became the 1996 Olympic first alternate! Today Aerials Gymnastics is widely considered to be among the best gymnastics programs in America.

Parkour - Juniors

Boys ages 5 to 11

Parkour derives from parcours du combattant, the classic obstacle course method of military training. Athletes aim to get from one point to another in a complex environment, in the fastest and most efficient way possible. Parkour is super fun because it includes running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, rolling, quadrupedal movement, and other movements as deemed most suitable for the situation. Parkour promotes amazing fitness. Freerunning is a version of parkour that includes acrobatic moves that are purely artistic and fluid. Freerunning may also include some Tricking. Tricking is a training discipline that combines martial arts kicks with flips and twists from gymnastics as well as many dance moves and styles from breakdancing. We also incorporate some American Ninja Warrior training in our program as well. We love parkour for these reasons - it is an outstanding physical activity with no limits as to what children can accomplish. Our Parkour classes are taught in a specific sequence where children must learn the basics before learning more difficult skills. Our classes are divided in to Level 1 (Green), Level 2 (Orange) and Level 3 (Red). Your child will wear the wrist band of their level. Each color signifies what skills they are safe to perform in class and in our open gym time.

Classes

Pikes Peak Parkour Juniors: ages 5-11

Pikes Peak Parkour Junior classes - children learn flips, rolls, jumps, and kicks in combination on strength and agility courses. This is a new sport that allows kids of all sizes and abilities to have fun exercising and being challenged physically.

Our progressive level system evalutates and advances children on their ability to perform the fundamental parkour skills correctly before being allowed to practice more difficult skills.

The levels of Pikes Peak Parkour are Level 1 (Green), Level 2 (Orange) and Level 3 (Red).
